Last Saturday, the NCCIL welcomed artist Jason Chin and hosted a workshop for children to explore the worlds of physics, geology, and astronomy. Chin’s exhibit, “The Universe in You,” opened on Thursday and featured examples from his books that introduce the sciences to young readers. Children not only had the opportunity to draw with Chin during a workshop, but they could also explore hands-on science stations set up in the main gallery to learn about various disciplines.

The workshop allowed children to step into a world of science and wonder, delving into the mysteries of the universe. Through hands-on demonstrations, kids learned about geology, astronomy, physics, and other scientific disciplines. The interactive nature of the event provided an engaging and educational experience for curious minds and nimble fingers.

“The Universe in You” will be on exhibit at the NCCIL through May 10, giving families and young readers ample time to explore the wonders of science through the captivating art and books of Jason Chin. The exhibit’s combination of art and education offers an opportunity for children to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
