VALDOSTA — Hannah Marie Yeager of Hahira, Georgia, has been awarded the Fall 2022 Chancellor’s Award for College of Nursing and Nicely being Sciences at Valdosta State School.
The Presidential Award for Tutorial Excellence is awarded to six VSU colleges: Harley Langdale Jr. College of Enterprise Administration, College of Nursing and Nicely being Sciences, College of the Arts, James L. and Dorothy H. Dewar College of Education and Human Suppliers, Humanities School of Social Sciences, School of Science and Arithmetic.
Yeager will probably be honored inside the entrance yard at VSU’s 234th Annual Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, December 10 at 4:30 PM. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science diploma in Nicely being Science and an honors school certificates.

As a scholar at VSU, Yager completed the Collaborative Institutional Teaching Initiative program and the QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Teaching program. She was a Zell Miller Scholar and an Honorary Scholar. She repeatedly earned honors on her dean’s report and was full of life in Baptist School ministries and the Wesley Foundation.
Dedicated to serving of us, Yeager had the privilege of attending the 2020 South Georgia Chrysalis, a three-day event of worship, prayer, fellowship, ingenious expression, recreation, singing and debate. She returned the subsequent yr to help and encourage youth and youthful adults by the use of their distinctive chrysalis journey.
Yeager plans to proceed her coaching at VSU and pursue a Grasp of Enterprise Administration diploma in Healthcare Administration.
