Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. Name New Chief Technology and Growth Officer

CKE Restaurant Holdings, the parent company of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s, has announced the appointment of Justin Falciola as its chief technology and growth officer. In his new role, Falciola will be responsible for aligning business goals with information technology, digital strategy, and operations. He will also oversee the implementation of new technologies and support the digital evolution of loyalty, first-party, and third-party digital channels.

Max Wetzel, CEO of CKE Restaurants, expressed his excitement about welcoming Justin Falciola to the organization. Wetzel believes that Falciola’s extensive experience leading high-performing analytics, digital, and IT teams will help Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s drive digital growth as technology continues to shape and change the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.

Falciola joins CKE from Papa John’s International, where he served as the chief insights and technology officer since 2018. Prior to Papa John’s, Falciola held roles at Humana, Fifth Third Bank, and JPMorgan Chase. In a statement, Falciola expressed his excitement about joining CKE Restaurants and helping Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s achieve their unique business goals by evolving team and guest experiences through technology.

Carl’s Jr. operates over 1,000 restaurants in the U.S. and has a presence in 24 countries worldwide. Hardee’s operates approximately 1,600 restaurants in the U.S. and 13 countries worldwide. With Falciola’s leadership, CKE Restaurants is looking forward to leveraging technology to grow these two iconic brands.
