Harper, Schwarber, and Realmuto are all making progress towards their returns to the Phillies lineup. While the team is currently on a road trip to Chicago and Atlanta without these key players, there is optimism that they will be back soon.

Harper and Schwarber both worked out in the batting cages at Wrigley Field, while Realmuto did receiving drills and hit on the field for the first time since undergoing knee surgery. All three players also participated in jogging activities, showing signs of progress.

Manager Rob Thomson expressed optimism about the trio’s recovery, suggesting that they could return in the next couple of days. Harper and Schwarber are eligible to come off the injured list on July 9, while Realmuto may need a bit more time before returning to the lineup.

Despite missing these key players, the Phillies have managed to hold their own in their absence. They are 10-9 in the games Realmuto has missed and won two out of three games without Harper and Schwarber over the weekend. This resilience has helped them maintain their lead in the division standings.

As the team looks ahead to the upcoming games, the production of players like Nick Castellanos and Trea Turner will be crucial in filling the void left by the injured stars. With their continued success, the Phillies can stay competitive until Harper, Schwarber, and Realmuto are back in action.
