Head of CBS Sports denies anti-LIV claim and justifies their PGA coverage

Viewers were concerned about perceived lack of coverage for LIV golfer Phil Mickelson, but McManus claims they covered him extensively despite not being in contention. McManus spends most CBS events on the production side and rarely intervenes, but is not afraid to speak up when necessary. CBS pays the PGA Tour $350 million a year in media rights fees and strives for monster ratings. Despite Brooks Koepka winning the PGA Championship, it had the lowest viewership in the last five years.
