Herlitschka, CEO of Infineon, to become a member of ÖBAG’s supervisory board

Sabine Herlitschka, CEO of Infineon Austria, is set to join the Supervisory Board of the state holding company ÖBAG. The general meeting, representing the Republic as the 100 percent owner of ÖBAG, will formally elect Herlitschka to the board. This decision has been reported by the Kronen Newspaper, citing industry sources. Günther Ofner, Vienna Airport Board Member, will remain as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Recent news also revealed that Günther Ofner and Julian Jaeger, Board members of the listed Flughafen Wien AG, have had their contracts extended. Ofner’s contract will run for three more years until September 30, 2028, while Jäger’s contract will be extended for another five years until September 30, 2030. Ofner, known for his close ties to public transport, and Jäger, associated with the SP party, have been leading the company since 2011.

Österreichische Beteiligungs AG, or ÖBAG, manages Austria’s investments in various listed companies including OMV, Post, Telekom, and Casinos Austria. The company was established in 2019 following the restructuring of Austrian Federal and Industrial Participations GmbH (ÖBIB), which was formed from the Austrian Industrial Holding Aktiengesellschaft (ÖIAG) in 2015. ÖBAG plays a crucial role in overseeing the Republic’s interests in these key businesses.

In addition to these developments, a variety of other topics have been discussed across different online platforms and forums. Discussions range from real estate and construction to health services and entertainment options like non-Gamstop casinos. It’s evident that the business landscape is constantly evolving and generating interest among diverse audiences.
