Offensive line recruiting is a top priority for college football teams in the 2025 recruiting class. The Oklahoma Sooners are actively pursuing several highly-touted offensive linemen to strengthen their front line. Among their current group of recruits are four-star offensive lineman Ryan Fodje and three-star prospect Owen Hollenbeck.

One player in particular, five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood, has caught the attention of recruiters. Although it seemed like he may have been leaning away from the Sooners, Haywood recently included Oklahoma in his top three schools along with Alabama and Florida State. Despite strong competition from teams like Texas A&M and Alabama, the Sooners have remained in the mix for Haywood.

On3’s Josh McCuistion has predicted that Haywood may ultimately choose the Crimson Tide, but the Sooners are not giving up hope just yet. Even if they are unable to secure a commitment from Haywood, Oklahoma is still actively recruiting other top prospects like Michael Fasusi, Andrew Babaloa, Lamont Rogers, and Darius Afalava.

It is clear that the Sooners are committed to strengthening their offensive line, regardless of the outcome with Haywood.
