The Southeast Texas Hispanic Business Association held its inaugural Women’s Conference of Vision at Ecclesia. The event was aimed at empowering women in the Hispanic community and saw a huge crowd. The conference covered various topics including work-life balance, health, finances and immigration issues. Port Arthur LNG was the main sponsor and attendees received a packet containing information about their LNG facility under construction at Sabine Pass and career opportunities at the company.
Ten community leaders spoke to a packed room in Spanish, each on a specific topic. Ana Pereda spoke about her return to work and offered advice on resumes. Zulema Escovedo stressed the importance of making connections.
Attendees were treated to lunch, gifts, and numerous door prizes. The Southeast Texas Hispanic Business Association will become a separate non-profit organization serving the entire Southeast Texas region at the end of 2022.
