Hispanic/Latino Behavioral Health Center of Excellence Leadership Academy is now accepting applications.

The Vamos por Más Hispanic/Latino Behavioral Health Empowerment and Leadership Academy 2024–2025 is a new program announced by the Hispanic/Latino Behavioral Health Center of Excellence. This 12-month initiative aims to select up to 10 behavioral health services personnel from community-based organizations that serve Hispanic and Latino populations. Participants will have the chance to access mentorship and leadership skill-development sessions that focus on various behavioral health-related topics. These topics include fostering culturally responsive leadership, driving system changes to improve the well-being of Latino communities, and enhancing advocacy skills for Hispanic and Latino populations.

Furthermore, the program highlights the importance of building cross-sector partnerships between communities and behavioral health systems. Healthcare providers, especially those working in substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery, are encouraged to apply for this unique opportunity. Applications can be submitted online, with the deadline set for April 30, 2024.
