Borgo Egnazia is a luxury tourist complex located in southern Italy, frequented by celebrities such as Madonna and Justin Timberlake. The complex will host the summit of heads of state and government of the G7 from June 13 to 15. Situated in the Apulia region, near the Adriatic coast, Borgo Egnazia offers a traditional Italian village experience. It is conveniently located between the cities of Brindisi and Bari, which have the region’s most important airports.

The G7 leaders, representing the world’s most advanced economies, will gather at Borgo Egnazia for three days. In addition to the G7 members, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni has invited the presidents of Brazil and Argentina, as well as Pope Francis, to attend the summit. Apulia has become a popular tourist destination in Italy in recent years, attracting visitors with its beaches, gastronomy, olive trees, and cultural heritage.

Borgo Egnazia features luxury hotels, attracting a high-end clientele, including Hollywood stars. The resort, designed like a traditional Italian village, offers amenities such as swimming pools, restaurants, shops, and spas. The resort’s motto, “Nowhere else,” reflects its ambition to provide a unique and exclusive experience for its guests. However, luxury comes at a price, with a night in a double room costing over $2,000 on a weekend in June.

Madonna and Justin Timberlake are among the celebrities who have visited Borgo Egnazia for special events. The decision to host the G7 summit at the resort has raised criticism for isolating the leaders and limiting media access. Despite the controversy, Borgo Egnazia continues to attract visitors seeking a luxurious and exclusive retreat in southern Italy.
