Gamers often want to capture their moments of triumph or humorous mishaps in video games to share with friends. This feature, commonly found on consoles like PlayStation and Xbox, is now becoming more accessible to PC users through the platform Steam. Valve’s digital store has introduced a beta version of Game Recording, allowing users to record, edit, and share their gameplay moments. Users can also easily export these recordings to other video platforms like YouTube.

To enable this feature, users must join the Steam beta by following a few simple steps in the settings. Once activated, users can adjust settings such as recording length, save folder, and activation mechanisms. Steam offers options to automatically record in the background or manually trigger recordings using keyboard shortcuts.

In addition to basic video editing tools, Steam’s new feature includes a timeline that highlights important events in gameplay. This feature makes it easy to export recordings as MP4 files for sharing on other platforms. With these enhancements, Steam aims to make capturing and sharing gaming moments more convenient for its users.
