Teams to watch at the Rugby World Cup 2023:

South Africa, known as the Springboks, will be aiming to defend their title after winning the tournament in 2019. Led by the inspirational Siya Kolisi, they are currently ranked third in the world and are considered one of the favorites to lift the trophy. Having previously won the tournament in 1995 and 2007, they will be determined to add a fourth title to their collection.

New Zealand, also known as the All Blacks, are perennial challengers and are ranked second in the world. With three previous titles to their name (1987, 2011, and 2015), they are hungry for a record-breaking fourth win. However, a recent defeat to South Africa raised doubts among fans about their chances in the upcoming tournament.

Hosts France and world number one Ireland are the European favorites going into the tournament. France, who have finished as runners-up in three World Cup finals, will be hoping to utilize their home-ground advantage and secure their first-ever title. Keep an eye on their star player, Antoine Dupont, who is regarded by many as the best player in the world currently. Ireland, on the other hand, have been performing strongly in recent years but have yet to progress past the quarterfinal stage of the tournament.

England, past winners of the tournament, have been experiencing a dip in form. However, they have a track record of performing well in World Cups, evidenced by their appearance in the 2019 final and their previous final berth when the event was hosted by France in 2007.

Despite a disappointing season, Australia cannot be ruled out as they have a history of success in the Rugby World Cup. Argentina, too, have proven themselves as a threat in previous tournaments, finishing third in 2007 and fourth in 2015.

With these teams showcasing their skills and determination, the Rugby World Cup 2023 promises to be an exciting and fiercely competitive tournament.
