Hyundai and Kia introduce innovative Built-in Snow Chain Technology for enhanced winter driving

Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation have revealed a new innovative technology called “snow chain-integrated tire technology” that aims to improve safety and ease of driving in winter weather conditions. This technology includes snow chains integrated into the tires, eliminating the need to constantly add and remove chains. When activated, an electric current is applied to revert the shape memory alloy to its original profile, forming a ‘J’ shape to improve grip, stability, and safety on snowy roads.

The new technology has not been released to the public yet, as further development, durability, and performance tests need to be conducted. Once these tests are completed successfully, the product may be introduced to the consumer market in the future.

This new design is expected to revolutionize winter driving by providing a convenient and efficient solution to the challenges posed by snow and ice on the roads. With the integration of snow chains into the tires themselves, drivers can enjoy improved traction and safety without the hassle of traditional snow chains. Keep an eye out for the release of this innovative technology in the near future.
