I Attempted to Avoid Spending Extra Money on Carnival’s New Ship, Would Not Recommend

During my four-day Carnival Firenze cruise, I chose not to indulge in most of the upcharged amenities available. The ship offers more complimentary family-friendly activities than some of its competitor’s latest vessels. However, I made the decision to skip the up-charged food options, which ultimately led to a less-than-amazing cruise experience.

While you may not get the full luxury experience, the opportunity to enjoy unlimited food, accommodation, activities, and access to multiple destinations all for less than $80 a day can be appealing to budget-conscious travelers.

For those who are willing to spend more than the base fare, the experience on Carnival’s Firenze ship can be quite different. Having a willingness to pay for additional amenities and activities can enhance the overall cruise experience, compared to those who choose to stick to the basics.
