I Attempted to Avoid Spending Extra Money on Carnival’s New Ship, Would Not Recommend

During my four-day Carnival Firenze cruise, I chose not to indulge in most of the upcharged amenities available. The ship offers more complimentary family-friendly activities than some of its competitor’s latest vessels. However, I made the decision to skip the up-charged food options, which ultimately led to a less-than-amazing cruise experience.

Looking for a budget-friendly vacation option? Carnival’s new Firenze ship offers a cost-effective way to travel without breaking the bank. While you may not get the full luxury experience, the opportunity to enjoy unlimited food, accommodation, activities, and access to multiple destinations all for less than $80 a day can be appealing to budget-conscious travelers.

For those who are willing to spend more than the base fare, the experience on Carnival’s Firenze ship can be quite different. Having a willingness to pay for additional amenities and activities can enhance the overall cruise experience, compared to those who choose to stick to the basics.

During my mid-May cruise on the new Firenze ship, I discovered that opting out of upcharged amenities, such as premium dining options, changed the dynamic of my vacation. While cruises are known for being an economical vacation choice, the additional expenses for upgraded experiences can significantly impact the overall enjoyment and comfort of the trip.
