Mr. Payyaula Sai Venkat Kisshan, Chairman of the Indian Robotics Association, expressed his intention to establish an innovative science center in Vietnam and promote robot development during a conference held by Binh Dinh province on June 25.
To advance robot development, Mr. Kisshan aims to assist Binh Dinh in cultivating a skilled workforce in science and technology. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, shared that the province is striving to become Vietnam’s artificial intelligence center—a hub for research, development, and training of technology professionals.
Locally, FPT’s major investment project, which is anticipated to attract around 20,000 employees, promises to revolutionize technology and innovation in Vietnam. This initiative is expected to turn Quy Nhon into the country’s artificial intelligence hub.
The conference, attended by Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Do Thanh Trung and Indian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, aimed to foster cooperation between the two countries. Vietnam and India have been strategic partners since 2007, with Binh Dinh making efforts to welcome foreign investors.
Binh Dinh’s focus on sustainable development includes industries like manufacturing, information technology, AI, high-quality tourism, organic agriculture, and efficient logistics—areas where India has expertise. The province has showcased its potential, support policies, and investment-friendly environment to Indian counterparts, signing a cooperation agreement and providing investment registration certificates.
