Indian Prime Minister suffers setback in world’s largest election

After the general election, it was revealed that Prime Minister Modi’s party had lost its absolute majority in parliament, signaling a potential decrease in support from the people. Despite this, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) formed the government for the third time, with the BJP winning 290 seats in parliament, exceeding the 272 seats needed to form a government.
