Indianapolis-based Decimal, a company that offers bookkeeping, accounting operations, and tax services for small and medium-sized businesses, recently made an acquisition to expand its portfolio. The company has acquired the accounting services business of Facta Inc., a San Francisco-based technology company that focuses on financial data management through its software-as-a-service platform. This acquisition is specifically for Facta’s accounting services business unit and does not include its technology and software operations.
According to Decimal CEO Matt Tait, this acquisition is a strategic move to enhance the company’s position as a leading bookkeeping and tax solution provider for SMBs. He mentioned that this acquisition, along with the previous acquisition of KPMG Spark in Salt Lake City, Utah in November 2022, aligns with Decimal’s expansion strategy. Tait emphasized that Decimal aims to deliver the highest level of service to its clients, and acquiring Facta’s accounting services business is a step in that direction.
All employees of Facta Accounting Services will be retained as part of the acquisition, bringing Decimal’s total employee count to 76 globally. While the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, Decimal’s focus on expanding its services and offerings for small and medium-sized businesses is evident through its recent acquisitions.
