The owner of an Indianapolis towing business died and seven others were injured after a shooting at a Kentucky nightclub in Louisville. Louisville Metro Police Department officials responded to a call of several people shot at the H20 nightclub just before 1 a.m. The incident resulted in the death of a 40-year-old man named Joseph D. Bowers from Indianapolis. Another adult was transported to UofL Hospital with critical and life-threatening gunshot wounds, while six others took themselves to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Homicide Unit is currently investigating the case, with no suspects identified at this time. Louisville Mayor Craig Greenburg issued a statement emphasizing the need to address the gun violence that is affecting the city. He urged the community to come together to help law enforcement in capturing those responsible for the shooting. Greenburg also highlighted the importance of getting information from witnesses and encouraged anyone with details about the incident to reach out to the police or call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-5673.
