Knicks star Jalen Brunson recently underwent surgery for a fractured left hand that he sustained during the third quarter of Game 7 against the Indiana Pacers. According to the Knicks, Brunson’s recovery progress will be assessed in six to eight weeks. Prior to this injury, Brunson was also dealing with a right foot injury that occurred during Game 2 against Indiana.

Following the defeat in Game 7, Brunson expressed his admiration for the team’s resilience and fighting spirit throughout the season. He commended his teammates for their strong mindset, which often propelled them to exceed expectations. Despite the disappointing outcome, Brunson was proud of the effort and determination displayed by the Knicks.

During the series against Indiana, the Knicks faced multiple injury setbacks that severely impacted their roster. In addition to Brunson’s absence, OG Anunoby missed several games due to a hamstring issue, and Josh Hart played through an abdominal injury in Game 7. Mitchell Robinson, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Julius Randle were also sidelined due to various injuries, further limiting the team’s depth and resources.

Bojan Bogdanovic recently underwent successful surgery on his left wrist and will undergo a similar re-evaluation process as Brunson. The Knicks will look to regroup and recover from these setbacks as they begin preparations for the upcoming season.
