McGill’s Chemistry Outreach Group participated in the Real Ventures Future Innovators Science Fair at Royal Charles Elementary School on March 21st, 2024, in celebration of International Women’s Month. Alongside other STEM experts and educators, the group engaged students with a series of hands-on experiments that captivated and inspired them.
One member of the Chemistry Outreach Group, Paty Garcia, reflected on her educational background and how it influenced her perception of women in STEM fields. Her experiences fueled her passion for science andPS and motivated her to pursue a career in the field.
Through collaborations with groups like Chemistry Outreach, Real Ventures aims to increase diversity and representation in STEM fields. By empowering youth from various backgrounds to become leaders in their own right, Real Ventures hopes to foster a new generation of science enthusiasts and innovators.
