United Insurance Company, the provider of mandatory insurance for vehicles and cars crossing the King Fahd Causeway towards Bahrain, has announced a new policy regarding short insurance periods. Starting from July 1st, drivers will only be able to obtain insurance for 3, 5, or 10 days exclusively through electronic channels. Previously, the shortest insurance period available at insurance booths was one month.
The company’s decision to implement this new policy is aimed at streamlining the insurance process for travelers using the causeway, ensuring a smoother and more convenient experience for all. The electronic insurance service allows for the issuance of insurance documents and payment of fees online. This means that drivers can now obtain insurance before even reaching the King Fahd Causeway, making the process much more efficient.
Maysaa Al Kooheji, the CEO of United Insurance Company, stated that this measure is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to digitize its operations. This initiative is just one of many in the company’s comprehensive digital transformation policy. The announcement of this new policy follows the introduction of the company’s new logo and visual identity in January, marking the beginning of an exciting new phase of development for United Insurance Company.
