On June 3, 2024, Neousys Technology announced the launch of FLYC-300, the newest addition to their Jetson-based computer family. Weighing just 297g, this rugged embedded system offers 100 TOPS AI performance in a low-SWaP form factor. It is designed for a wide range of advanced applications for unmanned systems, making it ideal for use on UAVs, UGVs, and AMRs.

The use of drones and robotics has become increasingly common across various industries due to their mobility and ease of operation. These systems are used for tasks such as inspection, logistics, rescue operations, security, agriculture, and environmental monitoring. The FLYC-300 introduces AI computation capabilities to enable autonomous navigation, object detection, real-time inference, and SLAM capabilities.

To support a variety of sensing and perception functions, the FLYC-300 features 2x Ethernet, 2x USB3.2, and 2x GMSL2 ports for easy integration of sensors and cameras. It also offers UART and CAN support for seamless interaction with flight controllers, vehicles, or robots. The system accommodates a wide voltage input range and is compatible with 5G or 4G modules for real-time data transmission.

Customers can choose between two configurations of the FLYC-300: with or without an enclosure, depending on their specific application needs. Neousys Technology’s product manager, Neil Liu, highlighted the system’s lightweight design and powerful NVIDIA Jetson SoM, which elevate unmanned systems by offering unparalleled AI capabilities for drones and robotics.
