Royal Caribbean is preparing to debut the Utopia of the Seas. This mega-ship is said to have amenities like a sports court and a surfing simulator. This new vessel will be arriving just six months after the debut of its predecessor, the Icon of the Seas. The Icon of the Seas became incredibly popular, and Utopia is expected to be just as successful.
Utopia of the Seas, which is set to debut in July, will join the fleet with the first series of three- to four-night cruises from Florida’s Port Canaveral. These cruises will accommodate up to 7,958 people including 5,668 guests. However, Utopia is expected to be slightly smaller than its predecessor. The upcoming mega-ship will be 10 feet stubbier, two decks shorter, and 13,940 gross-tons lighter than the Icon of the Seas.
Royal Caribbean’s upcoming cruise liner will likely add to the already busy cruising hub. The Oasis class, which Utopia belongs to, includes some of the world’s largest cruise vessels. Royal Caribbean is excited to welcome its next mega-ship and eagerly anticipating the new amenities and attractions it will add to their fleet.
