IO Interactive is delighted to announce the return of Ulas Karademir as chief technology officer

IO Interactive, the developer behind Hitman and Project 007, has announced the appointment of Ulas Karademir as its new chief technical officer. This marks Karademir’s return to the studio after a seven-year absence, during which he worked at Unity and RealityOS in various leadership roles.

At IO Interactive, Karademir will be tasked with overseeing the technical operations of the studio and leading the ongoing development of the company’s proprietary Glacier engine. He will also work closely with the production teams behind current titles like Project 007 and Project Fantasy. Karademir will report directly to CEO Hakan Abrak.

In a statement, Karademir expressed his excitement to be back at IO Interactive and contribute to the development of hit titles like Hitman, Glacier, Project 007, and Project Fantasy. He is committed to maintaining the studio’s reputation for innovation, great gameplay, and immersive worlds, while striving to elevate their standards even further.

Abrak welcomed Karademir back to the team, praising his experience, knowledge, and leadership qualities. He emphasized the importance of bringing in someone with Karademir’s expertise as IO Interactive continues to grow and develop new IPs for their players. Karademir will play a key role in driving the studio’s innovative endeavors moving forward.
