Iraqi Oil Minister Reports Exceeding Two Billion Cubic Feet of Dry Gas Production in Iraq

Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Iraqi Minister of Oil, Hayyan Abdul Ghani, confirmed the progress of implementing 8 major projects to invest in associated gas. In a statement released by the Iraqi Ministry of Oil during the Iraqi Council of Ministers session, Abdul Ghani mentioned that Iranian gas continues to supply Iraqi power stations, but the quantities imported are not enough to operate all electricity stations in Iraq. Despite this, dry gas production in Iraq has exceeded two thousand million cubic feet, and there has been an increase in gas investment this year.

Abdul Ghani also mentioned that they are continuing to implement 8 major projects to invest in associated gas, and the first phase of the solar power station project will be completed next year. He concluded by stating that they have concluded agreements to invest in low-pressure gas.

Overall, the progress in implementing projects related to gas investment in Iraq is on track, with a focus on increasing production and efficiency in the energy sector. With continued investments and projects in the pipeline, Iraq is poised to strengthen its energy infrastructure and contribute to its economic development.
