Recently, the Italian pizza website 50TopPizza released its list of the top 50 pizzerias in the world, and Raza proudly secured the 11th position on the list. This is not the first accolade that Raza has received from 50TopPizza this year. In fact, in June, the pizzeria owner Dan Richer was honored with the Ferrarelle Award and crowned as the 2023 Pizza Maker of the Year.
The recognition doesn’t stop there. Raza also holds the distinguished title of being the second-best pizzeria in the entire country, according to 50TopPizza. In 2022, Raza was named the 27th best pizza in the world by the same platform. However, it is worth noting that the top spot for the best pizza place in America went to Anthony Mangieri’s Una Pizza Napoletana, with Raza ranking as his number two choice globally.
Having served pizza in Jersey City for over ten years, Raza has become one of the most influential pizzerias in the United States. In fact, it was recognized as the 2021 Pizzeria of the Year by PizzaToday.com. Despite its location on the west side of the Hudson River, Raza was even hailed as the best pizza in New York by the prestigious New York Times. Furthermore, NJ.com deemed their burrata pie the sixth best in the state, solidifying Raza’s reputation as the best restaurant in Jersey City’s competitive dining scene.
