During Organized Team Activities, Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye has caught the attention of his veteran teammate, safety Jabrill Peppers. Peppers has been impressed by Maye’s arm talent and sees the potential for him to be a high draft pick in the future. Maye’s ability to make impressive throws has not gone unnoticed by his teammates, including Peppers.
While Maye has yet to earn the starting quarterback position in New England, he is showing promise as a long-term project for the team. Jacoby Brissett currently leads the first-string offense, but Maye is making a case for himself with his talent and performance during practice. The Patriots are taking their time developing Maye and do not necessarily see him as a rookie starter, but the potential is clearly there for the young quarterback to succeed in the future.
