Oakland University confirmed on social media that NCAA tournament breakout star Jack Gohlke has signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder and will be playing with their summer league team. Gohlke, who gained attention for his impressive performance during the tournament’s first weekend, led his team to a first-round upset over No. 3 Kentucky by scoring 32 points and hitting 10 three-pointers.

His phenomenal shooting tied a record for the most three-pointers in an NCAA tournament game. Although Oakland University was eliminated in the next round by NC State, Gohlke continued to shine by scoring 22 points, with six of his 17 three-point attempts finding the net. Throughout his lone season with the Golden Grizzlies, Gohlke averaged 13.1 points per game and shot 38% on three-pointers.

Prior to joining Oakland, Gohlke played four seasons at Hillsdale College, where he averaged 14.2 points and had a 40% three-point shooting percentage. The Thunder signed Gohlke to an Exhibit 10 contract, which is a one-year deal for the NBA’s minimum salary and serves as a tryout for the team. This contract could potentially lead to a two-way contract, allowing Gohlke to play for both the Thunder and their G League affiliate club.

The NBA summer league is set to take place in Las Vegas from July 12–22, giving Gohlke the opportunity to showcase his skills and potentially earn a spot on the Thunder’s roster for the upcoming season.
