Jalin Hyatt, a second-year receiver for the New York Giants, has a unique problem that many people would envy – he struggles to keep weight on. This may not seem like an issue to most, but for an NFL player preparing for a 17-game season, it can be challenging. Standing at 6 feet and weighing 185 pounds, Hyatt worked hard during the offseason to gain weight in anticipation of his second NFL season. To help with his weight gain plan, Hyatt included a kid’s snack in his diet.

In a recent interview on Giants Huddle, Hyatt explained, “It’s definitely hard for myself to gain weight. Some guys find it easier to gain weight or muscle. For myself, it’s harder as I burn a lot of calories quickly. I just have to keep eating.” One of the methods Hyatt used to gain weight was consuming PB&J sandwiches as an additional snack after completing his full meals.

One of Hyatt’s favorite snacks is Uncrustables, frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that are commonly consumed by children. He believes that these snacks will help him improve in his second season, following a rookie season where he had some notable performances. Drafted in the third round out of Tennessee, Hyatt made significant contributions to the Giants in key games throughout his first season.

Hyatt’s focus for the upcoming season is to be a more consistent player for the Giants, who he believes have the potential to be a playoff team. He sets high expectations for himself and his team, aiming to reach the playoffs and achieve success in the upcoming season.
