Tom James, a defender for Leyton Orient, has recently signed a new two-year deal with the League One club. Since joining Leyton Orient from Hibernian in 2021, the 28-year-old Welshman has played a total of 120 games for the team, scoring nine goals in the process. In the 2022-23 season, James played 41 times as Orient secured the League Two title with an impressive 91 points.
Despite finishing 11th in League Two last season, 11 points away from a play-off spot, James remains optimistic about the team’s potential. Reflecting on the previous season, he believes there were many positive aspects to build upon for the upcoming season in League One. He highlighted the team’s ability to compete with larger clubs and achieve great results, expressing confidence in their future performances.
James began his career at Cardiff City before moving on to Yeovil Town in 2017 and later joining Hibernian in 2019. After loan spells at Wigan Athletic and Salford City, he eventually settled at Leyton Orient. With the League One fixtures for the upcoming 2024-25 season set to be announced soon, James and the rest of the team are preparing for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the new campaign.
