Jeff Potts Named Chief Technology Officer at Xironetic

Xironetic, a provider of augmented reality surgical guidance technology, has appointed Jeff Potts as Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Christian El-Amm, Founder and Executive Chairman of Xironetic and Chief of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital, expressed excitement about Jeff’s selection to the role, citing the company’s rapidly increasing clinical adoption by surgeons at leading healthcare institutions worldwide. Jeff previously served as VP of Engineering with Xironetic, where he played a key role in developing the company’s first FDA-cleared product, IntraOpVSP. Before joining Xironetic, Jeff led a global team at Baker Hughes and holds a Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin with over a decade of experience in industrial R&D and product development, having invented multiple patents.

Jeff is enthusiastic about the opportunity to use his technology expertise to enhance the lives of people and sees the technology offered by Xironetic as a transformative advancement in computer-aided surgery. Xironetic, founded in 2021, focuses on building augmented reality solutions for surgical guidance. Its IntraOpVSP software, which combines augmented reality and computer vision, has been used in over 160 surgical cases and was cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2022 for use as an imaging device during surgery.
