Jeffery Simmons eagerly anticipating matchup against Caleb Williams in Week One

Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons is looking forward to Week One of the regular season, despite it being over four months away. He was sidelined for the final weeks of the 2023 campaign, which has fueled his impatience to get back on the field. Simmons and the Titans will be facing the Chicago Bears, who are expected to have quarterback Caleb Williams making his NFL debut.

Simmons appeared on The Rich Eisen Show and acknowledged the hype surrounding the Bears with the first overall pick in the draft. He understands that many may count the Titans out in games like that, but he sees it as an opportunity to prove them wrong. Simmons is eager to face Williams and show him what the NFL is all about when they meet on September 8th.

Regarding Williams, Simmons recognizes his talent and accomplishments at USC but is excited to see how he performs in the NFL. He mentioned how other players in different leagues have welcomed rookies by showing them the toughness of professional sports, and he has a similar mindset when it comes to facing Williams in Week One. Simmons is looking forward to the challenge and is motivated to show what the Titans are capable of against a highly touted rookie quarterback.
