Jeffery Simmons thrilled to take on Caleb Williams in Week One

Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons is eagerly anticipating the start of the regular season, with more than four months to go until Week One. Simmons missed the final weeks of the previous season due to injury, and now he is looking forward to facing the Bears in Chicago, where rookie quarterback Caleb Williams is expected to make his NFL debut. Simmons is embracing the underdog role, as he acknowledges that the hype will surround the Bears and their top draft pick. He sees the game as an opportunity to prove people wrong and is excited to showcase his skills on September 8.

During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Simmons discussed his excitement about facing Williams and the challenge of playing against a highly-touted rookie. He sees Williams as a talented player but recognizes that the NFL is a different league, and he is eager to compete against him in their first game. Simmons is ready to show Williams the tough life of a pro football player, similar to how WNBA players have welcomed Caitlin Clark to the league with a competitive mindset.

Simmons is motivated by the opportunity to face top talents like Williams and is looking forward to proving himself on the field when the season kicks off. He understands the expectations and the challenges that come with facing a highly-touted rookie, but he is confident in his abilities and excited for the chance to make a statement in Week One against the Bears.
