Sports commentator Joe Buck recently sat down with FOX8 to discuss his career and the upcoming National Sports Media Association’s 64th awards weekend and national convention. The event will be held on June 30 and July 1 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The NSMA’s 64th awards convention will feature appearances by Andrea Kremer, Jayson Stark, Kevin Harlan, Jeff Passan, and more than 50 state sportscasters and sportswriters from across the country. The event will include Legacy Night on June 30, where Joe Posnanski will receive an award for Best Sports Book of 2023. Additionally, Peter Gilbert, the producer and cinematographer of the groundbreaking sports documentary “Hoop Dreams,” will receive The Roone Arledge Award for Innovation during the convention.
The event will also include a welcome reception, a sports trivia contest, and the Sports Media Convergence Summit, which features panels geared towards students and young professionals in the industry. With a focus on celebrating achievements in sports media, the convention promises to be an exciting event for all attendees.
