On Tuesday, May 16, there were several baseball and softball games played in the Central Lakes and Granite Ridge conferences, as well as the Central Minnesota Conference.
In the Baseball Central Lakes Conference, Sartell defeated Cambridge-Isanti 5-0, with Wesley Johnson leading the Sabers to victory with his perfect game. Jake Grubere scored two points for the Sabers. ROCORI also won their game against Alexandria with a score of 10-6, thanks in part to Hunter Heigerken’s grand slam. Evan Acheson was the starting pitcher and took the win on the mound. St. Cloud Crash won 5-4 against Wilmer, while Sauk Rapids Rice defeated Brainerd 5-2. In the Granite Ridge conference, Cathedral defeated Albany 6-3, with Cooper Koshiba, Alex Schroeder, and Tanner Stirler each having multiple hits. Foley won against Holdingford 14-4, while Miraka defeated Mora 5-2. Piers won against Little Falls 4-2.
In the Central Minnesota Conference, Eden Valley-Watkins won 19-0 against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, while Royalton defeated Maple Lake 15-5. Belgrade-Blueten-Errosa won against Kelk Hoven-Murdoch-Samburg 5-3.
In Softball Central Lakes Conference, Monticello won 10-0 against Surtel, while Princeton defeated Sauk Rapids Rice 4-0. In the Granite Ridge Conference, Piers won against Miraca 18-3, Piartz won 12-1 against Miraca, Albany won 5-0 against Mora, and Albany also won 11-6 against Mora. Cathedral won 8-0 against Foley and 20-3 against Foley. Zimmerman won against Little Falls 4-3.
Finally, in the Central Minnesota Conference, Maple Lake won 10-2 against Royalton.
