Ayman Al-Safadi, the Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, has made it clear that Jordan will not be sending forces to the Gaza Strip in place of the Israeli occupation forces. He emphasized this stance during a joint press conference with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Yerapetritis. Al-Safadi stated that Jordan will not take on the responsibility of cleaning up after Netanyahu and will not send forces to Gaza as a replacement for the Israeli forces.

He called on all parties involved to work towards achieving a fair agreement that includes a permanent ceasefire and the release of all Israeli and Palestinian prisoners and detainees. This, he believes, is the first step towards addressing the humanitarian crisis caused by the recent aggression in Gaza. Al-Safadi expressed his full support for efforts made by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to negotiate a ceasefire agreement.

The Jordanian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of a comprehensive plan that not only stops the current conflict but also leads to a just and lasting peace based on a two-state solution. He underlined that any approach that deals with Gaza separately from the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories, including the West Bank and East Jerusalem, is unacceptable. Al-Safadi warned that the risk of further escalation of the conflict is real and emphasized the need to halt the aggression in Gaza and respect international law.

In conclusion, Al-Safadi emphasized the need for a clear action plan with a specific goal of achieving a two-state solution within a defined timeline. He called on all parties to respect the Charter of the United Nations and work towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict that addresses its root causes.
