The Routt County Council on Aging will be hosting a free 60+ Health and Wellness Expo on June 13th at the Steamboat Springs Community Center from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The expo aims to provide a wide range of services and resources to support the health and wellbeing of individuals aged 60 and older.
There is no need for pre-registration for the event, as it is on a drop-in basis. Additionally, a free lunch will be provided for attendees.
Some of the free services and resources offered at the expo include hair cuts, styling, pedicures, manicures, chair massage, chair yoga, medical screenings, orthotics, prosthetics for mobility and comfort, assistance with tax-related questions, an AARP safe driving course, and fraud prevention tips.
Various agencies such as Northwest Colorado Health will be present to perform cardiovascular and dental screenings, as well as hearing and vision screenings. Additionally, there will be resources available for hospice care, grief counseling, medical equipment consultations, support groups for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, veterans, widows, and suicide survivors.
