Tony Kahn, the CEO of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has expressed his interest in buying WWE on The Maggie and Parloff Show. Although he didn’t confirm how far his interest in purchasing the company has progressed, Kahn stated, “It will be very interesting to see what happens with this sale. Certainly, in many ways, this is the world of professional wrestling.” While WWE was ultimately purchased by Endeavor, Khan’s interest in buying the company garnered significant industry attention.
Khan praised the current state of the professional wrestling industry, citing “huge attendance figures for professional wrestling, TV and streaming numbers, AEW’s incredible PPV sales, and all the big merchandising numbers” as indicators of growth. He also highlighted AEW’s success in expanding its business, with its upcoming event in London expected to attract more than 60,000 attendees, the largest turnout in the company’s history.
