According to the Keshet TV channel, hospitals in northern Israel are preparing for a possible war with Hezbollah by transferring patients from intensive care units to hospitals in the central region of the country. The Mako website article explains that patients in serious condition and requiring intensive care, including those on ventilators, are being redistributed from hospitals in the north such as Ziv, Poriya, and HaGalil to larger hospitals in Tel Hashomer, Tel Aviv, and Haifa.
The reason for the patient transfers is due to the smaller size of the hospitals in the north and the need to relieve them in case of a conflict escalation with Hezbollah. The Ministry of Health has responded to inquiries stating that this is part of the health care system’s preparation for a potential deterioration in the security situation in northern Israel.
As the situation unfolds, it is crucial for the health care system to be proactive in ensuring that patients in critical condition receive the necessary care and attention. By transferring patients to larger and more equipped hospitals in the center of the country, they can better prepare for any potential emergencies that may arise. The cooperation between hospitals and the Ministry of Health demonstrates a proactive approach to crisis management and highlights the importance of preparedness in times of uncertainty.
