The Kings are reportedly interested in making a significant move in the trade market. According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Sacramento has shown exploratory interest in acquiring New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram. While discussions between the two teams have not yet escalated, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Golden State Warriors are also potential trade destinations for Ingram.
During the 2024 NBA Draft, the Kings put together a trade package that included Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes, and draft picks. One of the picks offered was the No. 13 overall selection, which the Kings used to draft Devin Carter. General manager Monte McNair was pleased with the selection of Carter, indicating that Sacramento may be hesitant to include him in any potential trade deals.
However, the Kings still have their first-round picks in future drafts, starting in 2026, that could be included in a package deal with Huerter and Barnes. Adding a player of Ingram’s caliber, who averaged 20.8 points, 5.7 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game in the 2023-24 season, would be a significant addition to Sacramento’s young core.
