The Kansas City Chiefs, Super Bowl champions, have a glaring question mark at the tackle position on their roster. They selected BYU offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia in the latter half of the second round to address this issue. Suamataia is projected to potentially start in his rookie year and will be in a camp battle with last year’s third-round pick, Wanya Morris.

With his impressive physical skill set and upside, Suamataia could emerge as the starting left tackle to protect Patrick Mahomes’ blindside. He has the ideal size, strength, and potential to develop into a solid starter at the next level. Despite some deficiencies in his technique, there is room for growth and Suamataia could end up being a valuable steal for the Chiefs.

Overall, Suamataia’s selection receives a grade of B-. This story was originally featured on Draft Wire.
