Nolan Hickman, the point guard for Gonzaga University, has announced that he will be signing a name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal with Klutch Sports Group. Klutch Sports Group is a sports agency owned by Rich Paul and represents athletes such as LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Trae Young, DeJounte Murray, and Draymond Green. Hickman’s signing is part of a larger announcement by Klutch, which also includes three other college basketball players.
Hickman, who will be entering his junior season, had an impressive performance in the previous season, averaging 7.3 points per game and 3.1 assists per game. The details of the deal have not been disclosed, but it is expected to open up opportunities for sponsorships, endorsements, and other business ventures related to his name, image, and likeness.
This announcement marks another milestone in the evolving landscape of college athletes being able to monetize their NIL. It is yet another example of the increasing importance of NIL deals in the world of college sports.
