The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to trade Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks for a package that includes Bojan Boganovic, four unprotected first-round picks, a first-round pick via the Milwaukee Bucks, an unprotected pick swap, and a second-round pick. This trade was reported by ESPN on Tuesday.

Bridges, who was the No. 10 pick in the 2018 NBA draft, will be reuniting with his former Villanova teammates Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, and Donte DiVincenzo. Last season with the Nets, Bridges averaged 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and a steal per game in 82 games.

Upon joining the Knicks, Bridges will be part of a forward lineup that previously featured OG Anunoby, who reportedly opted out of his contract on Tuesday. It is widely expected that Anunoby will re-sign with the Knicks, giving them two high-quality wings.

The Nets acquired Bridges in February 2023 as part of a trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns. The Knicks obtained Bogdanovic at the trade deadline last season, but his season was cut short due to a foot injury that required surgery.

With a record of 50-32, the Knicks made it to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000 in the 2023-24 season.
