The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, has urged Kuwaitis to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for next Thursday. In a televised speech, Sheikh Meshaal emphasized the importance of citizens exercising their constitutional right to vote and not boycotting the elections, as doing so would neglect their responsibility to choose their representatives.

He expressed hope that the elections would result in a distinguished council with enlightened members who are capable of fulfilling their national responsibilities. Sheikh Meshaal also warned against divisive rhetoric and the manipulation of voters’ emotions, calling for a focus on building the future of the country and the well-being of its citizens.

The Emir highlighted the importance of preserving Kuwaiti national identity and denounced attempts to manipulate Kuwaiti nationality, emphasizing that protecting the nation’s identity is vital for its survival and governance.
