Kylie Watson appointed as the APAC security lead at DXC Technology

DXC Technology has named Kylie Watson as the new leader for Asia Pacific (APAC) and the Middle East and Africa (MEA) regions. With her base in Sydney, Watson will now be in charge of overseeing cybersecurity initiatives for DXC’s customers throughout APAC and MEA. She will work on providing advisory and managed security services to help improve the cyber posture of these regions.

Watson joined DXC earlier this year as the head of security for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ). Prior to her role at DXC, she was a partner at PwC Australia, specializing in cyber security and digital trust. With an extensive background in IT in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Thailand, Watson has held leadership positions at major companies like SAP, Deloitte, HP, and IBM.

Expressing her enthusiasm for her new role, Watson stated that she is confident in DXC’s ability to deliver expert services and threat intelligence to their customers. She emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about smart cyber resilience strategies to help organizations withstand security threats.

Described by DXC as a highly experienced and outcome-focused leader in cybersecurity, Watson has experience in delivering results and transforming businesses for sustainable growth. DXC Technology President for APAC and MEA, Seelan Nayagam, emphasized that Watson’s commitment to diversity and inclusion aligns well with the organizational culture at DXC Technology.
