LA Restaurant Kato Recognized as a Rising Star by World’s 50 Best

Recently, Los Angeles’s Kato was awarded the One To Watch Award ahead of the announcement of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. This award recognizes a rising star restaurant in the global hospitality scene, indicating potential for the restaurant to make it onto the prestigious list in the future. Kato, led by chef Jon Yao, has previously received a Michelin star in 2019 and is known for its thoughtful tasting menu inspired by Yao’s Taiwanese heritage, along with creative cocktails from bar director Austin Hennelly.

The BLVD in Beverly Hills will host a special dinner and art experience on Thursday, May 9 in partnership with Faust Wines. The event will feature an art show showcasing work from several artists, followed by a four-course dinner paired with wines. Agnes in Pasadena is now offering a burger night every Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The menu includes a double Reuben patty melt with melted Raclette and fried honey mustard pickles on crispy rye sourdough slices, providing a delicious option for burger lovers.

Fans of the beloved Patrick’s Roadhouse have come together to support the restaurant after its closure was announced. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help the restaurant reopen, with over $66,000 raised as of May 9 towards the $250,000 goal. Hopes are high that the iconic establishment will be able to continue serving its loyal patrons in the future.
