Last year, Jamie Foxx experienced a medical complication that led to him being unable to walk and in recovery for several months. Despite his daughter mentioning the issue, he has remained mostly quiet about the details of what happened. In a video obtained from Gossipofthecity, Foxx revealed that he had a headache and asked for an Advil but lost consciousness for 20 days and has no memory of what happened during that time.
The 55-year-old Oscar winner stated that a doctor mentioned there was something happening in his head during the emergency but declined to elaborate further, saying he wouldn’t discuss it on camera. It was confirmed by People magazine that Foxx was not on a movie set during the incident, which occurred on April 11, and he did not use an ambulance to get to the hospital. At the time, he was in Georgia filming a Netflix movie called “Back in Action” alongside Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz.
Foxx briefly mentioned his health struggles at a special Critics Choice award ceremony in December, expressing the difficulty of going through such an ordeal. Despite the challenges he faced, he stated that he had gained a new appreciation for life and his art. Currently, Foxx hosts the show “Beat Shazam” with his daughter Corinne, showing that he has recovered and returned to work after his health scare.
