Ukrainian MP Kira Rudik has called for Western leaders to reconsider the amount of weapons being sent to Ukraine and to increase support significantly. According to Rudik, Ukraine’s ability to combat Russian aggression and win the war depends on acquiring more air defense systems. Without adequate air defenses, the safety and security of Ukrainian citizens are at risk, as they cannot guarantee waking up in the morning due to ongoing conflict.
Rudik emphasized the urgent need for air defense systems to continue the fight and drive Russian forces back. She highlighted the importance of protecting US-made F-16 jets and other aircraft by strengthening air defenses. Rudik urged Ukraine’s allies to shift their mindset from simply allowing Ukraine to fight to actively supporting the country in winning the war.
Despite concerns about Russia’s potential escalation in response to receiving modern weapons, Rudik pointed out that Moscow has already committed war crimes in Ukraine. She stressed the necessity of stopping Russian aggression through increased support and weaponry. Rudik expressed Ukraine’s determination to win the war and emphasized the significance of allies providing essential weapons and resources to defend freedom, values, and the global order.
