In 2001, Aguilar founded Bright Beginner’s Day Care, which operated for years without significant growth. She later became part of the Amplify LatinX small business program, which helps passionate business owners gain the necessary skills to run successful businesses. Eneida Roman, the president and CEO of Amplify LatinX, noted that many entrepreneurs have a passion for their work but lack the expertise needed to run a business effectively.
The program helps small business owners identify and address their areas of weakness, such as tax filing, marketing, bookkeeping, and forecasting. Aguilar enrolled in the program and saw a significant increase in profits, leading her to plan an expansion of her business.
