Lazio is faced with the decision of choosing between signing Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood or Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic this summer. The club sees both young players as potential additions to their squad, with Greenwood potentially replacing Felipe Anderson on the wings and Samardzic seen as a possible successor to Luis Alberto.
Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà believes that Lazio will prioritize signing Samardzic over Greenwood. The club may be able to secure the Serbian midfielder for around €20 million, but they will face competition from Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce. Samardzic is said to prefer staying in Italy, but Lazio will need to speed up their negotiations with Udinese before missing out on the opportunity.
In addition to their pursuit of Samardzic, Lazio is also working on finalizing deals for other players. The club must complete a deal for Hellas Verona’s Tijjani Noslin by June 30th and resume talks for Juan Cabal. They are also close to signing Hatayspor’s Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, as negotiations with the Turkish club are nearing completion. Lazio will need to act swiftly to secure their targets before the transfer window closes.
